EasyRun Continues Support and Upgrades for EPIC and eXchange Contact Centers on NBX and VCX

Overview

EasyRun has been designing and selling advanced multimedia Contact Center and Telephony solutions since 2001. The Company has over 3000 customer installations worldwide. From 2003 through April of 2011, 3Com actively sold EasyRun contact center solutions (through a joint OEM agreement) under the private label of EPICCenter and eXchange. During that time, EasyRun has partnered with 3Com to install and support EPICCenter and eXchange contact center solutions in hundreds of joint customer locations.
Starting June 1, 2011 these joint customers have the opportunity to purchase and or upgrade their contact center software directly from EasyRun.

Upgrades and Support from EasyRun

EasyRun wants to reassure both NBX and VCX customers that it will continue to support enhance and upgrade EPICCenter and eXchange software solutions. EasyRun will continue to support version 4.x software but will not be doing any v4.x product enhancements or upgrades. EasyRun released version 6.x for both the NBX and VCX in January of 2010 and has upgraded a host of NBX and VCX customers with the new software. Many new features and enhancements were added in v6. EasyRun encourages all existing EPICCenter and eXchange customers to review the attached document that summarizes the enhancements available in version 6.x and to speak to an EasyRun representative immediately to understand the advantages of upgrading to EPIC version 6.x and receiving support directly from EasyRun.

NBX / VCX Migration Opportunities

If you or your customer is currently using an NBX or VCX PBX and wants to continue using or add a full multimedia contact center solution EasyRun will continue to sell and support both EPIC and eXchange. As part of the latest agreement with HP EPIC and eXchange customers can request a refund of their existing HP support policy and enter into a new direct support and contract with EasyRun (the original equipment manufacturer).

EasyRun is the only vendor in the market authorized to sell EPIC and eXchange contact center solutions into existing NBX/VCX environments. Most customers that purchased EPICCenter or eXchange from 3Com are still running a 2 year old version of EPIC software (v4.x). In January of 2010 EasyRun released (and HP certified) version 6 for both EPIC and eXchange.

What options do existing EPIC and eXchange customers have to continue using and upgrading their contact center solutions?

Customers can continue using their existing version of EPIC or eXchange or can upgrade to the latest version of EasyRun software at their discretion. EasyRun will continue to support version 4.x software but will not be updating or enhancing version 4.x. EasyRun released version 6.x in January of 2010 and recommends all customers speak to The Company immediately to understand the benefits of version 6. EasyRun will continue to upgrade, enhance and fix issues encountered in version 6 and above for the foreseeable future.

What options are available for customers that currently have a support contract with HP for EPIC and or eXchange?

Customers can choose to terminate their service agreement immediately with HP and sign a new service agreement with EasyRun.

If I choose to upgrade to version 6 of EPICCenter or eXchange how can I begin the process?

HP did certify version 6.x for the VCX in December of 2010 but chose not to productize it. EasyRun offers several customer and reseller support options. Support services are offered 7x24 daily from both North America and Rest of World. What are the advantages of upgrading to EPICCenter or eXchange version 6.x?

EPIC/eXchange version six includes a number of product enhancements, fixes and functionality. Version 6 runs as a service (dongleless) and utilizes the MySQL data structure. Version 6.x also includes enhanced Cradle to Grave (C2G) and historical and real time reporting.

What if I want/need hardware support for the NBX or VCX?

EasyRun can support only the EPIC and eXchange software products. Customers should contact HP to understand maintenance and support options available for the PBX hardware.

If and When I decide to replace the NBX/VCX hardware will the EPIC solution continue to work?
